Maya is a 14 year old 9th grader. A native Washingtonian and a very busy teenager.  

She is a young lady that excels academically and plays multiple sports.  She realizes that balancing academics and extracurricular activities can sometimes be a struggle so, she wrote "Back Pack Lilly" to inspire kids to practice keeping their priorities right.
 

Maya understands that playing can be fun but studying and doing your schoolwork is more important.   

Back Pack Lilly is about a dog who promotes studying over playing. Twins, Alexis and Alex love to play and have fun but, sometimes they need to be reminded to study and do their work. Lilly knows just what to do to get them to study.
